I’ve spent the past hour or so rewriting the beginning of Dark Road Awakened. I turned the first two chapters in as part of my Creative Writing seminar class and one of the things the professor told me was that he felt it started too late. When I first wrote Chapter One, I felt like I started it too early, so I cut a whole bunch of it out and started it with what he got to read. I was a little surprised that I agreed with what he said, so in doing the revision (which has to be turned in for a grade), I partially went back to my initial idea. Kind of amusing to think about.
