Book Quest Site Review:

Author Krys Fenner manages to create a sweet and innocent young love story with a thrilling and suspenseful feel. The stories are weaved together in a way that keeps you turning the pages to see what will happen next.

Hope springs eternal for everyone except Bella Kynaston. She survived the rape, but the aftermath is a whole other story. She struggles to figure out who she really is as more truths are revealed about her heritage. With no real anchor, sometimes ending it all seems like the only way out.

David has loved Bella for three years. Too bad he feels as if he no longer deserves a chance with her. Much to his surprise that’s exactly what he gets, but she’s far more damaged than he ever imagined. Still, he’ll do anything to help her even if it means losing himself in the process. Any transgression can be forgiven. Or so he thinks.

Will Bella find the peace she so desperately seeks if the pain permanently ended? Is there someone who can get to her in time? Or will the damage she’s suffered prove too much to bear?

Gervasio may have gone into hiding, but he won’t leave empty-handed. Bella has always belonged to him and he won’t leave town without her. He’ll make it so he’s all she has left, even if it means going out with a bang.

Is Bella so set out on revenge, she’s willing to accept the consequences? Is it too late for Jeremiah to play the hero? Or will Gervasio get what he wants once and for all?

  1. Addicted was dark and shocking from the start. I stopped breathing. This book is gothic in theme and flows with the sounds of a trans Atlantic organ. I support Bella’s relationship and hope she came have a happy ending. The incidents that befall this angel of a girl makes one question the horrors in existence and whether they are REALLY random as we think. Gervasio is pure evil. This book gives readers the full view of evils machinations on innocence. It reminds me to always fight for the good and never allow evil even a slight chance to ruin happiness.

  2. This book series is definitely not for the feint of heart. The strength that one finds when faced with such brutal trauma is well represented and not made light of. The judgement of others, the constant thought of having to be “fine”, and that there is a time limit on healing when dealing with the mental aftermath of abuse in all aspects of the term was literally as if I was watching life through a window. She dug deep and went into that mental space that no one wants to go to to try to understand the thought process of a predator, and a particularly psychopathic and narcissistic one at that. I can’t wait to see how the series ends and hope that the journey to write this series, as dark and foreboding as it may have been, was also healing in ways. Perseverance and accepting that life changes every day, that you yourself are different in ways every day you wake up is such a strong and powerful tool in healing.
